This 18th century Girl's Gown pattern is drafted directly from an original garment in a private collection. Back lacing, with attached skirts, this gown is suitable for very young girls to preteen, c 1750s-1770s. An optional pattern piece for leading strings is included. Suitable for linen, cotton, worsted and silk fabrics. Hand sewing directions to construct the gown in a period manner are supplemented with optional machine sewing instructions, where the machine stitching will not affect the appearance of the gown. Three pattern sizes are included in each pattern, based on the chest size of the child.
