This pattern was published by The New Idea Pattern Company. Originally the pattern was described as "Ladies' Dress. Suitable for maternity wear. Having a blouse with round yoke, one-seam sleeves in full length turned back to form cuffs, or in shorter length in plain or fancy outline, joined to a lining and a two-piece gathered skirt in high waistline. The belt may be arranged in two styles. The blouse is closed at side front and the skirt at the side." Minimal directions. Pattern dates circa 1917.
Suggested fabrics: Serge, gabardine, light wool poplin, silk crepe, and sheer fabrics. The colors were black, navy blue, green, wine, Russian green, light blue, pink, white and taupe gray.
