This pattern was published by The Butterick Pattern Company. Originally the pattern was described as "Ladies' Nine-Gored Skirt, in medium sweep, clearing or shorter length." Minimal directions. Pattern dates circa 1899.
Suggested fabrics: Alpaca, mohair, lawn, chiffon, muslin, velvet, silk, and wool. The colors were darker shades of blue, green, red, brown, gray and black.
