Size: 37" Bust, 39-1/2" Hip. Length of skirt in front from regular waistline 31". Width around lower edge about 1-3/4 yards.

This pattern was published by The New McCall Pattern company in New York City. An basic illustrated fabric layout and construction guide is included. The garment is easily assembled by matching notches and numbers. The pattern contains eleven pieces.

A similar frock in the 1926 Butterick pattern catalog is described as, "A Surplice Closing On-Piece Frock." Another similar is described as a "One-Piece Wrap Around Frock." Suggested fabrics are: "crepe satin, printed crepe de Chine, silk and cotton crepe, light weight wools, taffeta, plaid taffeta, radium and shantung."

Popular colors were, ". . . wine, Bordeaux, taupe, nut and seal brown, navy and old blue, prune, mulberry and plum and a peculiar shade of dark gray, called smoke fox."

Materials required: Bell-sleeved frock 3-1/8 yds. of 45" wide fabric, Plain-sleeved frock 3-1/4 yds. of 45" wide fabric.

This Vintage Revivals pattern is only one size; the original size. The pattern envelope, instructions and pattern pieces are unedited. The older the pattern the more likely it is to have limited instructions. This pattern is printed on blue line paper and packaged in plastic.
