This pattern was published by The McCall Pattern Company. Originally the pattern was described as "Ladies' and Misses' Afternoon Dress in long length with bow in back, loose sleeves, open sections in back formed by pleated middle back". Illustrated directions. Pattern dates circa 1934.
Suggested fabrics: Afternoon dresses were made of lame, moire, crepes, uncut velvet, sheer woolens, faille, satin, velvet, matelasse and sheer crepes. The colors were blue lilac, ash rose, national blue, and applemint.
