Originally the pattern was described as "Ladies' Five-Gored Suspender Skirt with high waistline and in the regulation or shorter length. Having inverted plait or habit back and made with or without the plain suspenders, or suspender bodice. Closing at center-back." Minimal directions. Pattern dates circa 1915-1916.
Suggested fabrics: Faille, broadcloth, corduroy, and woolen fabrics. The colors were pale cream, khakis, deep brown, green, rose, blues and stripes.
