Lydia Child's 1831 book on childhood and motherhood, with its "plain, practical good-sense, written with earnestness and simplicity of style," offers chapters on Early Cultivation of Intellect, Amusements and Employments, Politeness, Management during the Teens, and Views of Matrimony. This facsimile edition was published in cooperation with Old Sturbridge Village.  Hardcover 184 pages.
