This pattern was published by The Butterick Pattern Company. Originally the pattern was described as "Ladies' Two-Piece Skirt, with sides lapped below inside pocket, with slightly raised waistline, with or without the belt. (To be made as a separate skirt or attached to a waist as a one-piece dress.)" Illustrated directions. Pattern dates circa 1915.
Suggested fabrics: Serge, worsted, tweed, taffeta, poplin, beach cloth, corduroy, and linen. The colors were white, tan, blue, rose, sand, black, navy, gray, and brown.
